CEO Steve Peplin told Crain’s that Talan is ready and willing to work alongside OSHA to ensure the safety of its employees, noting that safety is a fundamental part of Talan’s core values.

“OSHA is not our enemy,” Peplin told Crain’s. “We both have the same goal, and that’s worker safety.”

Talan’s safety-related efforts include comprehensive in-house inspections, near-miss tracking of narrowly avoided accidents and weekly employee discussions on safety topics that are relevant both at home and in the workplace.

“We never prioritize production over safety,” Peplin told Crain’s.
