Talan Products is searching for a 1st shift Manufacturing Electrician Technician to join our team! In this position, you will be responsible for upholding our companies’ standards by ensuring our machinery, and equipment are operating at their up most efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

• Installs electrical wiring, conduit, circuit breakers and other electrical hardware in accordance with national electric code requirements.
• Utilizing information from supervisors, machine operators, and other maintenance team members, investigates, diagnoses, and repairs machine operation variations and malfunctioning machinery.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Lay out, assemble, and install Electrical cabinets and control circuits.
• Replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment,
• Repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems as needed to maintain plant operations.
• Installs, programs or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
• Efficiently uses blueprints and electrical diagrams to trouble shoot and repair downed equipment and processes.
• Uses PC to troubleshoot, and Modify Programs in PLCs, HMIs, robots, and servo controllers.
• Other duties may be assigned based on business requirements and applicable skills and abilities.
Qualifications:
• One of the following, a High school diploma or equivalent, Two-year electrical engineering degree or certificate, or completion of a formal electrical apprenticeship and/or valid electrical contractor’s license.
• Four years experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. Press room experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and procedure manuals.
• Proficient in shop math with ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals and use a calculator.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
